Alce Nero: il centro del mondo è ovunque

....Allora, io ero là, sulla piu' alta delle montagne, e tutto intorno a me c'era l'intero cerchio del mondo. E mentre ero là, vidi piu' di ciò che posso dire e capii piu' di quanto vidi; perché stavo guardando in maniera sacra la forma sp...irituale di ogni cosa, e la forma di tutte le cose che, tutte insieme, sono un solo essere. E io dico che il sacro cerchio del mio popolo era uno dei tanti che formarono un unico grande cerchio, largo come la luce del giorno e delle stelle, e nel centro crebbe un albero fiorito a riparo di tutti i figli di un'unica madre e di un unico padre.
E io vidi che era sacro...
E il centro del mondo e' dovunque.

 So .... I was there, on the more 'high mountains, and all around me was the whole hoop of the world. And while I was there, I saw more 'than what I can tell and I understood more' than what I saw, because I was looking in a sacred manner the shape of all things spiritual, and the shape of all things, all together, like one being . And I say the sacred hoop of my people was one of many that made one circle, wide as daylight and as starlight, and in the center grew one mighty flowering tree to shelter all the children of one mother and one father.
And I saw that it was holy ...
It is the center of the world and 'anywhere
